Some new features in the works!

Time to get excited!

We are adding all sorts of new features to the site in the upcoming few days and weeks. Things include allowing users to register and post their own entries. This will give more people the chance to be heard out there! If you’ve seen a site that you love, or know of one that you think others will love, then you will have the chance to share it with everyone.

Also, by signing up, you will have your very own profile page to showcase your work, your website, or whatever you wish to showcase. This allows for even greater exposure to those lesser known designers. There will be a designers’ showcase that will list all of the members and a link to their profiles coming soon.

T-minus 3, 2, 1. Launch!

Alright, we are all set to launch. We have shown the site on a few webmaster forums, and have gotten more than a few reports of bugs. There were some in safari, and IE6. If you see any bugs, please let us know.

We are planning on adding around 5-10 new entries daily to keep a fresh supply of inspiration and creative influence flowing through the site. Please spread the word about this project! We are here to give inspiration and showcase the truly innovative and fresh websites for you. Without you, this site would have no purpose!

So stay tuned, sit back and relax, and join in on the creative fun.

CSS Charm almost ready to release!

We are almost done putting the finishing touches on the site.  I have been working hard to get the front page, categories pages, and the single post pages to correspond and look good in all the browsers.  I forgot how finicky IE6 is with css compared to IE7 or FF3.  That reminds me though, that I have not checked the site in FF2 or 1.5.  I should get on that here soon.

We are looking for your help in finding excellent sites, and growing the gallery database.  You can use the submit a site button at the top of the screen to send in your recommendations for websites to be featured.  All websites will be reviewed and appropriate ones will make it to the site.  Appropriate submissions should be table-less in design, and should be created using css.  Validity is not important, though it is a good feature of any website.

Also, if you see any good resource websites that offer coding tutorials, snippets, or good articles that you would wish to add to the site, please mention those too.  Those do not need to pass the table-less / css review as those are just resources, and are shown on a different portion on the site than the gallery submissions.

I am very excited about this project, and hope you are too.  Thank you for taking to time to visit, read my blog, look around the website, and I hope to see you here again.
